Homespun-Wisdom “A ring around the moon is caused by high altitude clouds, which precede low-pressure systems bearing moisture. So yes, it does indicate rain. The clouds contain ice crystals which refract the Moon's light, giving a halo effect.” Cold, hard fact from Mrs A. Boffin “There’s a Ring Around the Moon” Old time romantic song by J. Mercer “See a ring and a moon and you’re standing on the Victoria Embankment.” C. Pond Esq.
It's Caff Week on The 38 to Clapton Pond! Each day a caff, a greasy spoon, a God's honest cup o' tea and a bacon roll sort of a joint… Legendary bikers' hang-out on the North Circular near Stonebridge.
The last remnants of Stallion Video in East Finchley. The first film I ever saw on video was Meteor starring Sean Connery. A space-set disaster movie. Thrilling stuff, visiting the video shop, being allowed to chose the film. It was my uncle's VCR, we didn't have one. Far too poor and deprived.
