London Garden Life

As the long journey back to some kind of normality begins, I'll be sharing a few pics snapped during the Lockdown period here in London March - July 2020

I don't think I have spent this much time in the garden since I was about seven years old.

Our Summer House - stop calling it a shed! 🤣🤣🤣 – has been a particular Godsend during lockdown.

It's seen a lot of action, particularly during the glorious spring. I draft my virtual tours here, starting with a pen and paper, proper old school. I've been giving short music performances from here, too - my Tiny Garden Concerts on social media.

The Northern Line thunders just behind the trees - a sound that I have found reassuringly urban during lockdown. In the months when I stayed away from my beloved central London, the cacophonous music of the tube every few minutes has been, believe it or not, soothing. Bizarre. Like everything else about these times.

This blog features photos snapped with either a Canon 500D or an iPhone6 or an iPhone11 as I make my way Londoning around leading & researching my tours. I hope you enjoy them. If you'd like to book a London guided tour, just get in touch
